Once upon a time — back in 1996 — I stitched my very first teddy bear, and something magical happened. A hobby turned into a passion, and before long, Lanctot’s Loveables was born. |
In 1997, I gave my bears their trademark big noses and feet — a little quirk that made them instantly “mine” — and they’ve been part of every design ever since. Over the years, my bears have traveled far and wide, from my sewing table to collections in over 17 countries, winning awards and even finding a place in museums along the way.
I create bears in all shapes and sizes, from tiny 7/8" minis that fit in a lipstick tube to big, 28" cuddle companions. Each one is sewn on my cherished antique sewing machines and finished entirely by hand — a blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and love in every stitch.
Some bears are made to be collected, some to be hugged, and some — like my infant loss and therapy bears — are made to bring comfort when it’s needed most. But no matter their size or purpose, each bear carries a little bit of my heart and a whole lot of joy.
