From personal experience, I know the emptiness and grief that comes with loss. Through my many miscarriages I felt a void I couldn’t fill. Hugs helped me through, but when no one was there, I found comfort in hugging the teddy bear my husband gave me. That experience inspired me to create a line of weighted Comfort Bears — designed to bring a sense of love, healing, and support when it’s needed most.

​Weighted bears are used for sensory comfort, anxiety relief, easing stress, and helping with grief. The gentle pressure mimics Deep Touch Pressure Therapy (DTP), similar to the calming effect of a small pet in your lap. They may also help with autism, ADHD, and sleep difficulties.

​Created in honour of a loved one, these bears are made from faux fur or mohair for softness and durability, while meaningful clothing or blankets can be incorporated as accessories (such as scarves, vests, bows, or small keepsake items). This way, your bear remains huggable while carrying a deeply personal connection.

(Please note: I do not work with real animal furs, as I’m allergic to the tanning process. Faux fur and mohair allow me to create heirloom-quality keepsakes without health concerns.)

Comfort & Memory Bears come in 3 sizes — 13", 17", and 20". Depending on size, they can be weighted up to 9 lbs (4 kg) so you can find the perfect snuggle size.
